Cousin & Co.

Undra Duncan and Shekima François

Founders, Cousin & Co.

Cousins Undra Duncan and Shekima François started making handbags for themselves as a hobby, but after many requests from friends and strangers they decided to turn their passion into a business; Cousin & Co. With a loan from the Tory Burch Foundation and Accion, they produced the samples they needed to grow their collection and, through the TBF mentoring program, received advice and coaching about their business. To further foster the growth of Cousin & Co., Tory and TBF recommended Goldman Sachs Foundation 10,000 Small Businesses, a program which provides business education and training. Undra recently graduated, taking the skills she learned to continue to develop Cousin & Co. with Shekima. Today, their handbags are sold on www.cousinandco.com and at Searle stores in New York, Finishing Touches Accessories in New Jersey and Vis-a-Vis in Nantucket.
